Before opening the pages of Hell, opening what sounds like a beer from Hell! The smell does what it says on the tin. Taste is an initial lager crispness, which quickly turns into an extremely sour mouthful of onion. First beer I've chuck down the sink.

Think 9 months at the back of the fridge might have mellowed this out a bit. Base lager is crisp and has a fair whack of bready malty sweetness. Hints of cheese & onion on the nose but not much on the palate. Its not horrid but nothing special either...

Golden, hazy (6 SRM), normal ABV (5.4%). Months past BBE; nose is beery with hint of pickled onions. Crisper, sharper & more acidic than fresher cans. Briney, pickled & puckering finish. No cheese. Low bitterness (18 IBU).
